Our familia grew up on it. On huevos in the morning, on carne asada on Sundays, crushed over caldos when someone was sick. In Sonora, the chiltepin isn't a specialty item. It's the taste of home.

Every pepper we bottle was picked by hand in Sonora by chiltepineros.. harvesters who have worked this chile for generations and study it still. They know the climate, the soil, the exact conditions where the chiltepin develops its deepest flavor and fiercest heat. Every generation learns the pepper deeper.

We started Chiltepin Sonora as two brothers.. our own money, our roots in Hermosillo, and a pepper we believed in. For years we put every dollar the brand made back into the business. There is no shortcuts, we enjoy the journey. You have to build and build.
But this was never just business. There's a promise at the center of this brand.. one made within our familia, and one we intend to keep. We don't need to say all of it. Some things belong to the table, not on the label.
What we can say: this pepper keeps us tapped into la madre tierra.. our culture, our ancestors, the people we come from. Every harvest, every bottle, every order is a reason to stay connected to Sonora. That's the promise. And we're keeping it.
